Daikin America is proud to congratulate Claros Technologies on the selection of its ClarosTechUV™ PFAS Destruction System as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026.
The feature also cites Daikin America’s work with Claros, highlighting a partnership focused on advancing practical solutions to PFAS challenges.
ClarosTechUV™ uses UV-based technology to destroy PFAS in industrial wastewater. During a commercial optimization run at Daikin America’s manufacturing facility in Decatur, Alabama, the system treated more than 170,000 gallons of industrial process water and achieved 99.99% destruction across targeted PFAS species. These results represent meaningful progress toward applying PFAS destruction technology at an industrial scale.
Daikin America, Inc. President and CEO Yuichi Hashikawa shared his congratulations:
“Congratulations to Claros on being named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026. We are truly happy for the entire Claros team, and also very proud of what Claros and Daikin have accomplished together.
“This recognition is a great milestone for our partnership and for what we are trying to achieve together. Let’s continue to lead the way in addressing PFAS challenges and show the industry what is possible.”
For Daikin America, this milestone reinforces the value of collaboration in advancing environmental technology. By bringing together Claros’ expertise in PFAS destruction and our manufacturing experience, we are helping move promising innovation into real-world applications.
We congratulate the entire Claros team on this achievement and look forward to continuing our work together.
