Ten Daikin America Inc. volunteers came together to adopt three community projects for United Way of Morgan County’s Day of Caring.

On September 15, two groups of volunteers provided landscaping and other work for a hospice patient and a disabled senior.

Two days earlier, Daikin volunteers gathered obsolete electronic equipment at the Community Free Clinic and took it to be properly recycled.

Many thanks to these Daikin employees for demonstrating their caring and commitment to our community: Cindy Hanback, David Tate, Jason Henley, Sadako Broome, Jeff Southern, Ralph Werling, Meaghan Blake, Sabrina Terry, Steve Johnson, and Forrest Keith.

And a special ‘Thank You’ to Cindy Hanback for organizing and coordinating this important community involvement activity.

Daikin volunteers joined more than 200 others who helped complete 32 projects for the Day of Caring, working on projects that included:

  • Painting the Mental Health Center of North Alabama
  • Building a garden at the Boys & Girls Club at Oak Park
  • Painting a new science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) lab at Oak Park
  • Replacing fencing at The Arc of Morgan County
  • Cleaning up the playground at Sterr’s Daycare
  • Renovating the Tween Club at the Boys & Girls Club in Priceville
