Ten DAI Team Members attended the Daikin Industries, Ltd. 100th Anniversary celebration in Japan.
In celebration of Daikin Industries’ 100th anniversary, ten team members from Daikin America’s Decatur plant recently traveled to Japan for an incredible cultural and professional experience. The week-long trip offered visits to Daikin’s chemical plants in Osaka and Kashima, the Technology and Innovation Center at Yodogawa, and Daikin’s corporate headquarters. Team members also enjoyed immersion in Japanese culture, including tours of historic temples in Tokyo and Kyoto and a traditional sukiyaki lunch near the iconic Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
The highlight of the journey was attending the 50th Anniversary of Daikin’s Bon Odori Festival at the Yodogawa Plant, a celebration that echoes the long-standing community spirit of the Decatur Bon Odori Festival.
This journey was a memorable opportunity to connect with colleagues worldwide, celebrate Daikin’s legacy, and deepen ties between Decatur and Daikin’s global family.
