Biomedical Robots

Biomedical robots used in pharmaceutical manufacturing plants are sterilized regularly. In recent years, the sterilization method has shifted from formalin to hydrogen peroxide gas method. Therefore, fluoro material with high durability against hydrogen peroxide is used to protect the surface of biomedical robots.

Cable covering materials for robots

Required characteristics

  • Chemical resistance (dialysis solution resistance, antiseptic solution resistance)
  • Flex resistance

Daikin Solutions

With conventional cable sheathing materials, deterioration due to hydrogen peroxide gas and prolonged aeration time due to the adsorption of hydrogen peroxide are problems. Therefore, Daikin’s fluoropolymer NEOFLON ETFE, resistant to hydrogen peroxide gas is used as the cable sheath.
