Daikin investments of more than $250 million in the U.S. are solid evidence of our commitment to the market.
Daikin America is dedicated to a corporate tradition of building long-term relationships with our customers
and communities. While others appear to be more interested with immediate sales and profits, we have found
that commitment to enduring partnerships is more valuable to everyone in the long run.
Today, we have earned a worldwide reputation for our quality products. Daikin's commitment to a role in the United States began
as early as 1963 with the introduction of fluorochemicals to the U.S. market. Acceptance of the products has
been highly favorable and our lines of business have increased steadily.
In addition to R&D support from Japan, the U.S. manufacturing facilities are backed by our U.S. Technical
Center and corporate headquarters at Orangeburg, New York. The Center provides technical and development services to our customers including Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) capabilities and our "Technical Wizard."
Also located at the Tehnical Center is full-scale, production molding and extrusion equipment for fluoropolymer processing. These facilities are used by our specialists, in concert with customers, to simulate manufacturing conditions in order to solve processing problems. Extensive testing and experimentation are also conducted to explore innovative production techniques as well as to evaluate new materials.
As part of Daikin America's service orientation, headquarter offices are purposely located in the same facility as the Technical Center and major warehouse space. This allows close communication among all personnel to ensure rapid and accurate support of customers' needs.
Here and throughout our U.S. facilities, American and Japanese employees foster a corporate philosophy which puts people first. Employee awareness of all aspects of the operation enhances smooth internal operations and increases efficient, supportive relationships with customers.
Daikin is committed to good corporate citizenship, providing significant, new employment opportunities at our various sites. The company also makes every effort to contribute materially to the well-being of all aspects of the communities in which we work and live. We are ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996 registered and also support the American Chemistry Council(ACC) "Responsible Care" program.
